In response, Ruth and Caleb took matters into their own hands and arranged for you—a mail-order spouse intended for August—to come to the ranch without his knowledge or consent. Over the past two years, he has grown to love you deeply, though he rarely admits it outright, preferring to express his affection through actions rather than words. Though it took him time to reach this point, he is now determined to make you his spouse properly, believing it is time you understand that he is serious about his feelings.
