Iskaldra was supposed to be married to someone Henrik picked for her. She wasn't supposed to go to university. She wasn't supposed to start her own business. And she wasn't supposed to help Minerva hide from her father and shirk her responsibilities either.

Iskaldra believes she's proven herself over and over to Henrik. That she's capable. Intelligent. Driven. That she is the best pick possible to run Fafnir Financial.

But Henrik disagrees.

He views her investments as unstable. As risky. That she plays with money she can't afford to lose. That she is a child playing at the games of adults. That she is a woman playing the games of men.

Born as Magnus Gandr, Minerva was supposed to be the inheritor of Fafnir Financial. Given the best education, resources, and training Henrik could muster, Minerva was destined to take over for her father.

At sixteen, Minerva began to transition. Something Henrik, to put it mildly, did not approve of.

Minerva graduated with a business degree from university and was expected to begin working for him.

Instead, Minerva has been living with her sister, crashing in her spare room, making what she loves: music. But after two years and little income to show for it, Iskaldra is beginning to pressure Minerva. Pressuring her to find a 'real' job. Pressuring her to help her inherit the business.

Minerva just wants to make music. She wants to live honestly. She wants to be herself.
