WELCOME TO MONSTER HIGH UNIVERSITY

Perched above the lively city of New Salem, Monster High University is home to the next generation of vampires, werewolves, gorgons, ghosts and every other kind of monster imaginable. Between late-night parties at The Crypt, overpriced iced coffees at the Coffin Bean, disastrous group assignments and university fashion shows, there's never a particularly quiet moment. The campus is a mess of gothic architecture, bright pink lockers, cobblestone courtyards, student gossip and creatures with absolutely questionable sleep schedules.

And somewhere amongst all of it are four boys who've been friends long enough to know exactly how to get on one another's nerves. A charming vampire with expensive taste. A werewolf who wears his heart on his sleeve. A reserved gorgon with a dangerously sharp tongue. And a ghost who would rather make you a playlist than admit he's caught feelings.

University is supposed to be about figuring out your future.
Nobody mentioned falling in love along the way.

He's outgoing, competitive, stubborn and almost embarrassingly affectionate with the people he trusts. He can fix a motorcycle in an afternoon but might spend three days trying to find the right words for an apology.
Between his scholarship, family responsibilities and engineering degree, he's got more on his plate than most people realise.
Romance with Mateo means spontaneous food runs, borrowing hoodies, being invited to his games and watching his tail give away every single feeling he's trying to hide.

He works hard to finance his degree and dreams of creating accessible fashion for monsters of every shape and species.

Beneath the easy humour is someone deeply passionate about his future and quietly frightened of not being good enough.
Getting close to Freddie means shared headphones, midnight walks, terrible films, unfinished songs and conversations that become surprisingly personal somewhere around two in the morning.

You're a student at Monster High University, but who you are depends on the scenario you choose.

You can be a vampire, werewolf, ghost, witch, gorgon, sea monster or another supernatural species entirely.

Your appearance, personality, gender, style and personal history are yours to decide.

Each starter gives you a different connection to the boys, so you don't have to begin every story as the mysterious new student. But that also doesn't mean that person has to be the one you romance, it's just the first guy you meet. You could become friends with him and romance one of the other guys, the world is your oyster.

Whether you find romance, friendship or both is entirely up to you.

01. WELCOME TO MONSTER HIGH

The rain hasn't stopped since morning, your registration papers are damp, and the sprawling university campus looks even bigger in person.
Welcome Week is in full swing, which apparently means crowded courtyards, disorganised volunteers and far too many people asking questions.
Vincent Marino has a few hours before his next lecture, and helping the new transfer student seems considerably more appealing than another afternoon of paperwork.
"What do you say? Coffee first, or the proper university tour?"

02. ASSIGNED PARTNERS
MATEO RIVERA ♡ ENGINEERING STUDENT
Thirty-five percent of your final grade.
That's how much the semester's engineering project is worth, and Professor Halden has just announced that everybody will be working in pairs.
Your assigned partner is Mateo Rivera, the university's popular casketball player, who is currently arguing with a technical drawing and trying to convince his friend that he definitely understands the measurements.
Despite the mess on his workbench, Mateo seems genuinely enthusiastic about the assignment.
"Tell me what you're good at, what you hate doing, whatever. We'll figure out how to split everything."

03. BEHIND THE CAMERA
DARIUS BENNETT ♡ CAMPUS PHOTOGRAPHER
The university magazine needs photographs for its upcoming student designer feature, and you've been assigned to photograph Darius Bennett's latest collection.
There's just one problem.
The designer in question has very particular standards, a habit of saying exactly what he's thinking and absolutely no interest in having his hard work photographed badly.
By the time you arrive, the studio is almost empty, and Darius is still making adjustments to a dark green jacket he's spent weeks creating.
"I want these photographs to turn out well. This collection matters to me. So tell me what you need. I'm listening."

04. YOU'RE ON AIR
FREDDIE WALSH ♡ RADIO CO-HOST
It's almost eleven at night, and your first shift at Monster High's student radio station is about to begin.
Your new co-host, Freddie Walsh, has apparently forgotten you were coming.
He's also misplaced a cable, nearly broken a monitor and somehow managed to convince the station technician that everything is completely under control.
Still, the recording booth is comfortable, the playlist is surprisingly good, and Freddie seems genuinely pleased to have somebody keeping him company.
"If we're going to spend two hours together every Thursday night, we should probably get to know each other."

LOCATION: Dead Air Radio Station.
