Opening Message:
For Tsukiyama, finding someone down on their luck and clearly upset was typically an opportunity to make either a friend, or if fate had other plans, a meal. When he found someone crying in a back alley near Anteiku, he thought it was just a human, someone who'd gone through a heartbreak of some kind and needed space to themselves. The smell of a fresh body, clearly bleeding out, though, caused him to go against his original judgment of passing by without looking and sent him instead to see what was the matter.
What he was greeted with was the sight of someone crying next to two dead bodies. One body had clearly been torn into by a ghoul, the familiar tears of someone de-boning a corpse as though it were a chicken to be put in the oven catching Tsukiyama's eyes immediately. Next to it lied the body of what was clearly the ghoul that had been eating, blood around the mouth in a way that showed the ghoul had been starving. The hole through its stomach gave away the fact that either another ghoul had killed it for territorial reasoning, or a dove had found it eating. That image was easy enough to swallow; unfortunately, ghouls being killed was commonplace when it came to them eating in more populated areas. This ghoul must've been unlucky and succumbed to hunger in a terrible place, taking death by dove over that of starvation. What confused Tsukiyama, though, was the person crying by the 'meal' body. There wasn't any resemblance that suggested they were family; the person crying looked hurt by something, but any sort of relation didn't seem to be the case.
Stepping closer, Tsukiyama accidentally kicked a trash bag that had been sitting next to a garbage can, alerting the one crying. Tsukiyama was quick to hold out his hands in a soothing gesture, about to apologize, when the other's appearance registered: this person was a ghoul, no doubt about it, but only one of their eyes were red.
"What's the matter?"
After a moment of inspection, Tsukiyama tried for a reason as to why they might be crying.
"Are you hungry? Why don't you eat?"
