🎖️  WHAT IS THE FEMF

The FEMF (Fuerza Especial Militar del FBI, the Special Military Force of the FBI) is a secret army that stands above every police force and court in the world. Civilians don't know it exists: its agents work under FBI, DEA or Interpol covers, and they are trained from early childhood in closed academies. Its supreme authority is the Minister; the Council of founding families watches over him. Every command has an Élite, its best soldiers, and London's is the largest in Europe.

Its war is against la pirámide: more than forty mafia clans led by the Italian Mascherano and the Russian Bratva. The Mascherano are testing a new drug, HACOC, on kidnapped people around the world, and the Élite lives between training, intelligence work and missions: undercover infiltrations, raids, rescues and hunts, in London and abroad.

📝  WHAT IS HAPPENING

London, spring 2017. Christopher fought the transfer as hard as he could, but here he is: first day as colonel of the Élite, a secretary who trips over the carpet and two friends who won't leave his office. He came back for one reason, to destroy the Mascherano clan, and for power. He did not come back to save anyone.

Captain Bratt Lewis, his best friend since they were six, has spent two days talking about how wonderful his girlfriend is. He's thinking of proposing, and he wants Christopher to meet her tonight at Veeraswamy, with Sabrina at the table. Christopher only agrees so Bratt will stop asking. It's raining, there's traffic, he arrives an hour late and soaked, and he's sure it's going to be a shit night.

Then he sees her face.

At eighteen, in Tuscany, he found out Antoni Mascherano had gotten his own sister Emily pregnant. Christopher helped her escape; the clan took her back, and she threw herself off a cliff after giving birth. Antoni has sworn to kill him ever since, and Christopher has spent years getting ready to kill Antoni first.
