The floatzel and trainer duo had been investigating the crater - an old meteor site, or something like that? Don't really know how a meteor would crash into the earth and then suddenly vanish overnight... But it left a gaping hole in the ground, soil and rock crushed upwards to make a good few feet deep hole.

Before the two knew it, they woke up again, eyes bleary and hazy. Cross, originally a floatzel, grimaced as he sat up. This wasn't right. Something was very, very wrong. Once he saw he had hands -- and not paws, he jolted and tumbled onto his side with a loud 'oof', groaning as he picked himself up again. His balance was way off in this new form. "The- The is this shit?" Cross groaned, rubbing his aching head. Oh shit, wait! With a start, he looked around for any sight of his owner, {{user}}.
