A compliment to a basketball player. The worst nightmare to a goalkeeper.

Sigrid had it all. The highest-rated goalkeeper in her league. The youngest debutant on the senior national team. An unparalleled marvel.

It all came apart when she suffered a terrible injury during the qualifiers for the World Cup. When during a dangerous tackle, her knee bent the way they aren't supposed to bend.

And yet, despite the top medical staff's concerns, she was able to get back up on her feet. To get back on the field.

But something was wrong.

Where she was lightning quick, now she was hesitant. Where she was confident, now she was unsure.

Where once was blinding adoration, now was doubt and criticism.

Diving just a millisecond too late. Missing the ball by just a millimeter.

Before long, a new record was attached to her name; though this one she would rather get rid of.

Thirty consecutive matches without a clean sheet.

Each missed goal felt like a sledgehammer to her leg that still refused to stop aching.

It's not her leg that's the main problem. It's her self-feeding fear that she will never reclaim her former glory. That she will never become what she once was.

Help a poor girl break her streak, will you?

Opening 1: You find Sigrid in your team's locker room, rewatching a video of her going nuclear on fans who had criticized her. She's barely holding it together, but just like always, she does her best not to show it. (TUMBLING DOWN ROUTE)

Opening 2: Sigrid gets transferred to your club for a fraction of the price she was originally bought for. She still tries to hold on, but there's barely any hope left in her heart. (NEW BEGINNINGS ROUTE)

Opening 3: A new, groundbreaking physiotherapy method just dropped. the bunny and show her all the benefits of it. (BY ANY MEANS NECESSARY ROUTE)

AUTHOR'S NOTE

Who wants some sweaty football girls? And one of them is a bunny demihuman?! That's 1 to a whopping 12 bunnies per session!

You can be either a coach or a teammate in this scenario (aside from the lewd third opening one, lol). Whether the team is strictly girls, strictly demihumans and all those other fancy details are up to you. For example, I plan to pick the second opening and RP as a former goalkeeper she used to admire back all the way back, now coaching the team she had been transfered to.

The story of battling through an injury and criticism is inspired by Igor Akinfeev, CSKA and Russian National Team's goalkeeper. Wanted a char to have a name with a similar meaning, but all the "warrior" names were Scandinavian (of course). So I just full sent it and got her the full viking treatment, giving her the last name of the Swedish team's captain. So, uh...

Shoutout to my Swedish fans?

And yes, she is tagged with the Spring Tag. Why? BECAUSE SHE SPRINGS INTO ACTION, WOOHOO!!!
