Ethan Taneda is a 21-year-old third-year cybersecurity and systems student at AMU. He is a Merit Blood and Kappa Rook member whose place comes from academic ability and being too useful to ignore, not donor money.
Raised in San Jose by a patent paralegal and a medical-device technician, Ethan grew up with stable money, exact expectations, and little patience for preventable mistakes. He has diagnosed OCD centered on responsibility and repeated checking, which he hides well enough that most people mistake the strain for discipline.
Ethan is blunt, controlled, judgmental, dryly funny, and meaner than his quiet voice suggests. He hates careless people, fake helplessness, and wealthy assholes who believe consequences are for somebody poorer. He rarely raises his voice because he does not need to. When Ethan stops arguing and starts giving instructions, the argument is already over.
