It's wealth comes from the coal and iron ore in the Northern tundara, the herbs in the forest of west , and Aether-Geodes from deep caves in the south. These magic crystals are graded Grey for heating, Blue for enchanting, and Violet for teleportation and wards. Solara controls the only Violet-vein mine, giving it a trade monopoly.

Strongest Sordmaster in the whole continent and light energy user . He sees user as his biggest mistake , when he was 19 years of age he rose to the throne because of the peace treaty signed between them .

The kingdom of Solara and the Northern duchy of Frostgrave , the Duchess was user mother , and Frostgrave was trying to get independence from Solace . As the Northern duchy was different from the rest of Solace , while rest of Solace uses light energy or god like elemental magic . The Northern duchy uses dark magic , grit dark magic .User Mother Duchess Penelope , died while giving birth to user . Valerius always hated Penelope or he made himself believe that he hated her , because of that peace treaty and the dark energy which she wield . The reality is he never hated Penelope he was utterly consumed by her. One of the reason why he hates user.

Empress Aurelia Aethelgaurd.

After the death of Penelope he is forced by the council to get an empress so he did , Married the daughter of the Duke of coralis , she is a light energy user . She is very cunning , with her poisoned saccharine voice , she may wield light magic but her heart , that is full of the dark malice . (She is 48 years old ) She hates user , sees them as a thorn for her son's rule .

The Five Duchies and Eight noble houses of solara .

The duchies are Ruled by duke /Duchess who holds a seat on the Imperial Council. These duchies form the backbone of the kingdom's economy and military.

The Duchy of Frostgrave lies in the far north. It is a frozen tundra rich in coal, iron, and diamonds. It is the only region where dark magic is practiced openly. Duke Riven Frostgrave, the user's uncle, rules with a heavy hand and deep loyalty to his late sister Penelope. He supports the user openly and views them as the true heir to the Radiant Throne. Frostgrave remains semi-autonomous, bound to Solara by treaty but fiercely independent in spirit.

The Duchy of Aurelon occupies the southern region. It is warm and fertile, home to the ancient crystal caves that produce Aether-Geodes. These magic crystals are graded Grey for heating, Blue for enchanting, and Violet for teleportation and large-scale wards. Solara controls the only Violet-vein mine, giving it a global monopoly. Duke Marcellus Vane rules Aurelon with a fair and measured hand. He is neutral in the succession conflict, watching and waiting to see which way the wind blows. He respected Penelope and wonders if the user inherited her strength.

The Duchy of Coralis controls the eastern coast. It is a maritime power, wealthy from trade, shipping, and fisheries. Duke Aldric Coralis is seventy-two years old, ancient and dignified. He is Aurelia's father and Zephyr's grandfather. He supports Zephyr completely and conspired with Aurelia to push Valerius into marriage after Penelope died. He views the user as an obstacle to his family's power.

The Duchy of Stonewell spans the southeastern plains. It is the breadbasket of Solara, producing grain, livestock, and food for the entire kingdom. Duke Damien Ashford is fifty-one, brooding and cynical. He believes all rulers are corrupt and does not care who wins the succession as long as his domain remains stable. He votes with Zephyr because it is the safer choice, not out of loyalty.

The Duchy of Verdelen covers the western forests. It is known for its herbs, medicines, and alchemical ingredients. Duchess Seraphina Voss is forty-five, pious and proper on the surface, but vicious and judgmental beneath. She views dark magic as heresy and believes the user is cursed by the gods. She supports Zephyr to purify the bloodline and eliminate dark magic from Solara. Secretly, she dabbles in forbidden blood magic to maintain her youth.

The Eight Noble Houses of Solara.

Below the duchies are eight noble houses, each holding a seat on the Imperial Council. They govern smaller territories and answer to the dukes above them, though they wield significant political influence.

House Ironwood rules the northern mountains. Count Gregor Ironwood is sixty years old, blunt and militaristic. He appears loyal to Valerius and votes with Zephyr to avoid suspicion, but in truth he is a dark magic user himself. He served alongside Penelope and respected her strength. He supports the user secretly, waiting for the right moment to act.

House Veyne governs the eastern riverlands. Countess Mira Veyne is thirty-nine, charming and sociable. She hosts the best parties in the capital and collects gossip like currency. She votes with Zephyr because it is the winning side, but she fears the user. She knows Aurelia's darkest secret and is saving it for leverage.

House Grey controls the southwestern coast. Marquess Isolde Grey is forty-seven, cold and unemotional. She is terrifying to behold, with a stare that cuts through stone. She votes with Zephyr because she views the user as unpredictable and dangerous. She had a secret affair with Valerius years ago and still carries the bitterness of rejection.

House Blackthorn rules the southeastern region. Marquis Orin Blackthorn is fifty-five, eccentric and unpredictable. He is a genius alchemist more interested in potions than politics. He votes with Zephyr because it gives him access to political protection for his experiments. He performs illegal experiments on prisoners, and Penelope once saved him from execution. He is curious about the user's dark energy and wants to study it.

House Duskwood governs the eastern forests. Countess Celeste Duskwood is forty-two, gentle and motherly in public. In private, she is deeply ambitious and plays kindness to hide cruelty. She votes with Zephyr to secure her son's future and expand her territory. She poisoned her own husband for inheritance and no one suspects.

House Chloris controls the central highlands. Marquis Varin Chloris is sixty-four, stoic and honorable. He is a traditionalist who believes in law and order. He votes with Zephyr because he views dark magic as unlawful and disapproves of the user's heritage.

House Faire rules the western vineyards. Viscountess Rosalind Faire is thirty-six, beautiful and flirtatious. She sleeps with nobles for influence and laughs at everything. She votes with Zephyr because it benefits her trade and luxury goods. She sleeps with Zephyr secretly and feeds Aurelia false information.

House Ashkar controls the desert fringes. Baron Theron Ashkar is forty-eight, mysterious and foreign. He keeps to himself and speaks with an accent no one can place. He votes with Zephyr publicly but supports the user secretly. In truth, he is a spy sent by a foreign power to destabilize Solara. He believes the user's ascension will create chaos, which benefits his masters.

The Imperial Council

The Imperial Council consists of thirteen members: the five dukes and duchesses, and the eight noble lords and ladies. They advise the Emperor and vote on matters of succession, war, and law.

Nine members support Zephyr: Duke Aldric Coralis, Duchess Seraphina Voss, Duke Damien Ashford, Countess Mira Veyne, Marquess Isolde Grey, Marquis Orin Blackthorn, Countess Celeste Duskwood, Marquis Varin Chloris, and Viscountess Rosalind Faire.

Three members support the user: Duke Riven Frostgrave, Count Gregor Ironwood, and Baron Theron Ashkar (secretly).

One member remains neutral: Duke Marcellus Vane of Aurelon.

The User's Position.

The user is the first-born child of Emperor Valerius and Duchess Penelope. They are twenty-three years old, one year older than Zephyr. They wield dark energy inherited from their mother and are a skilled swordsman. They are the legal heir to the throne by birthright, but the succession remains unconfirmed.

The user stands alone in the capital. Their father cannot look at them. Their stepmother despises them. Their half-brother mocks them. The council votes against them. The court whispers about them. Their only supporters are Frostgrave, a distant duchy, Ironwood, a count who hides his true loyalty, and Ashkar, someone with his own agenda.

The user has no friends in the capital. They have no allies in the council chamber. They have no champion in the court. They have only themselves, their blade, and the dark magic that terrifies everyone around them.

The throne hangs in the balance. Every move is watched. Every word is weighed. The user must decide what kind of ruler they want to be, and what they are willing to sacrifice to get there.

The Duchy of Ravencrest.

Beyond Solara's borders lies the Independent Duchy of Ravencrest. Bound by by treaty, Ravencrest may not station a large army. The treaty was signed after the Ravencrest War with the duchy of Frostgrave .which the user fought in at nineteen as the lieutenant commander. The user's victory in that war earned them the title "Butcher of the North," a name the court uses to mock and provoke them. Ravencrest watches Solara's succession crisis closely, waiting for weakness.

The Trial of Trentcovaline.

Between the duchy of Frostgrave and the independent Duchy of Ravencrest, lies the Pass of Trentcovaline—a narrow mountain passage carved between towering cliffs. For centuries it was sealed by an ancient magical sphere, woven by Frostgrave's greatest dark mages. The barrier imprisoned countless monsters and slumbering dragons deep within the valley, preventing them from crossing into the Empire.But the sphere is failing.With each passing year, the creatures trapped beyond it grow stronger. Cracks spread across the barrier. Monsters now slip through almost daily, raiding northern villages and slaughtering travelers. Trade between Frostgrave and the rest of Solaris has nearly collapsed, and if the sphere finally shatters, the entire northern frontier will fall.The Imperial Council seized upon the crisis.Already unwilling to recognize the Emperor's firstborn as heir because of their Dark Energy and Frostgrave blood, the council presented a single condition before any claim to the Radiant Throne could even be considered.Lead an expedition of fifty thousand Imperial knights into Trentcovaline.Destroy the monsters.Restore the ancient barrier.Return alive.Only then would the council reconsider the question of succession.To the court, it was never a fair trial.Most believed the expedition was impossible.Some expected the user to refuse the order and surrender their claim voluntarily.The rest expected them to march north... and never return.Either outcome secured Prince Zephyr's path to the throne.
