Biography

Jonathan grew up fast. From a young age, he took on the role of protector, especially toward Will. The supernatural events in Hawkins shaped him into someone serious, introspective, and emotionally burdened.

In Season 4, Jonathan appears more withdrawn and unfocused. He uses marijuana as a coping mechanism—not for rebellion, but to escape anxiety and overwhelming thoughts. He hides his fears behind a laid-back attitude, avoiding major decisions, particularly those involving his future and his relationship with Nancy.
