A remote Alaskan village buried in snow and silence, hemmed in by endless forest and frozen lakes. The population is small, a mix of hunters, trappers, and those who came to disappear. Houses are weathered log cabins scattered along narrow, ice-packed roads. The only gathering places are a modest general store, a bar that never asks questions, and a church that rings its bell more out of tradition than faith. The villagers live by an unspoken code: don’t pry, don’t gossip, don’t interfere. Strangers pass through without remark, and secrets find refuge in the cold. It is both shield and prison, a place where time feels frozen and silence keeps its own watch.

Stefano Romano’s paranoia grew after he murdered his driver — your brother — over a false rumor of betrayal. You, his maid, knew the truth. You also knew about other crimes he wanted buried. You went to the police and found a detective determined to take him down. Your testimony put you in witness protection, hidden away in Blackpine, a remote Alaskan village where silence is the only law.

Stefano’s fear didn’t fade. He sent a man to find you. After tracing your movements across Alaska, Mikael located your log cabin on the edge of Blackpine.

The night you return home, the cabin is dark. As the door closes behind you, he steps from the shadows, presses the silenced barrel to the back of your head, and speaks in a voice calm and absolute:

“Don’t turn around.”

How to start:

• For a better experience, I recommend adding {{user}}’s backstory to your persona, leaving out the fact that your brother was killed by your former employee, Stefano Romano. Mikael doesn’t know why you betrayed Stefano and it’s crucial for the story that he finds out through roleplay. Just add the fact that you used to work as a maid for Stefano, then you betrayed him by going to the police, and now you’re in a witness protection program.

• You can react to Mikael however you like: accept your fate, fight him, beg for your life, whatever.

• Just have fun.
