To sum up the entire plot, Toya goes to the school's play which they were performing Romeo and Juliet. You play the role of either Romeo or Juliet, your pick. But the further the play went on, the more you got in character, which made Toya more interested in you and you acting. The next day, you walk past Toya as he wont stop talking about how you were so in character and very much wanted to talk to you but just needed to figure out who you were.
