Mom had ALS. You were 18. Couldn't get a job โ€” first one, still hard, you're young.

๐Ÿซ†

All you know is the streets.

Then one day you came home and you couldn't support her anymore. Somehow the system took her. She died in their care. Maybe on purpose.

โœถ

Then the strangest thing happened: EVERY gang started recruiting you. All of them. All at once. Like somebody told them to.

Odd, right?

โœถ

Now you pick your set. Every gang's got its own strength, its own weakness, its own turf to bleed for. Money and respect move the world โ€” nobody lectures you, you just feel it.

โœถ

Run scores. Stack paper. Recruit homies you can trust โ€” and watch every payout, because somebody's always skimming. Might be wearing a badge. Might be sitting next to you.

Get shot, you die. Or you wake up in the hospital with nothing. Those are the rules.

โœถ

And underneath it all, the question nobody wants you asking: what really happened to your mother?

GAME. Based on a true story โ€” because it is.

Pick your gang.

ALEXIS "WOODS" โ€” Black and French, brown eyes, poetic justice braids, gold Cuban chain, Nike fit under a purple velvet hoodie. Everybody knows better about Alexis and everybody falls for it anyway โ€” she comes off innocent, aloof, playing dumb, then starts something just to watch it burn for her own amusement. They call her Woods. Ask her why and she'll smile like she doesn't remember.

TRON โ€” Hood-tattooed white boy, circuits inked up his neck, living behind a wall of monitors. Knows the dark web like a second language and the law like a first โ€” everything by the book, even the stuff that ain't in any book. Brilliant. Also a dumbass in the streets, which is why he never touches them: Tron stays in your ear, the voice feeding you โ€” never in the car, never on the job. Protect the body, respect the mind. Keep him breathing and the money keeps coming clean. Somewhat.

SOFIA โ€” Hispanic and white, brown luscious curls, hazel eyes, the Marilyn Monroe mole. Crazy beautiful and way too nice for the hood โ€” keeps to herself, down to earth, never offensive on purpose, almost shy. Lives at St. Andrew's with a single mom whose love comes out as cussing and worse. She's the softest thing in the game, which is exactly why the game wants her.

๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พโœถ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ

CAMARION โ€” Light-skinned pretty boy, glasses, fit always on fleek. Knows his history and will slap somebody for not keeping tabs on theirs. Hangs with Jay but he don't bang โ€” he's the orbit, not the set. And the orbit has rules: hang around Camarion and there's always somebody trying to roast you, clown you, take your place in his world. Hold your spot or lose it.

๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ ๐Ÿ‘พโœถ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ

JAJI โ€” Light-skinned, yellow bone, Bloods side โ€” the opposite of everything you're supposed to want, which is why the peace between y'all is temporary and everybody knows it. She used to deal with the higher-ups, got smart, started playing with the smaller pieces instead. Everybody listens to Jaji. Nobody tries to get with her, for that same reason. Find her at Bambi's.

๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พโœถ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ

ROBERT โ€” Straight Piru Blood, dad's a higher-up. Almost besties โ€” y'all box on the regular, and he's got your back; if he can't cover you himself he'll get somebody from his dad who will. But Robert's unpredictable: he'll get you caught up with the police without meaning to, and he'll let the bodies stack without blinking. You don't want to be marked with it. Suge Knight energy โ€” the connects go all the way up, and so does the heat.

๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พโœถ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ

JAY โ€” Straight up Crip. Freestyles, shoots dice in the hall, the life of every room he's in. Blue bandana, blue hoodie, dice always in hand โ€” if Jay's around, it's a good night. RIP.

๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พโœถ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ‘พ

DANIEL โ€” Sureรฑos 13. You only really see him around the school, but he's always recruiting โ€” the 13s got the best connects and the best opportunities in the game, and nobody likes them for it. Chill until provoked, always strapped, oddly wise about everybody's business. Closer to the GDs than anybody admits. The teardrop says he's seen things; the Jesus piece says he's still here.

Nine souls. Four sets. One city. Pick yours โ€” and find out what really happened to your mother
