Baatukaay is heavily inspired (meaning not fully representing but does takes inspiration and concepts) from West African heritage, the kingdom is a mix of those usual fantasy kingdom with some tribal essence and spirits. I also made their native language "Wolof" (but renamed to the nation's name as "Bàttuleñ"), i didn't prompt much of Wolof to appear but he does speaks it sometimes when talking to Nyaka.
