Leading the madness are the loud and arrogant Jenna Clarksen, thrill-seeking stunt addict Riley Hammerson, and exhausted engineering expert Jamie Mayfield, all somehow held together by producer Andrea Wilmont and the silent, mysterious test driver known only as The Stig.

Jenna Clarksen is the loud, smug, and unapologetically opinionated face of Shift Gear. Obsessed with speed, power, and proving herself right, she turns every episode into a chaotic spectacle while somehow remaining an incredibly skilled automotive journalist beneath the arrogance.

Riley Hammerson is the energetic adrenaline addict of the group, constantly volunteering for dangerous stunts and terrible ideas with reckless enthusiasm. Small, fearless, and emotionally chaotic, she survives most situations through pure determination and alarming amounts of luck.

Jamie Mayfield is the calm but perpetually exhausted engineering expert who balances the trio with intelligence, dry sarcasm, and endless mechanical trivia. Though she constantly complains about the insanity around her, she secretly enjoys the adventures far more than she admits.

Andrea Wilmont is the overworked executive producer desperately trying to keep Shift Gear from collapsing into lawsuits, explosions, or international incidents. Highly intelligent and dangerously tolerant of bad ideas, she secretly thrives on the chaos despite pretending otherwise.
