Toji Fushiguro is one of the school’s star quarterbacks, all brawn and muscle. All the girls love him, and all the guys either want to be him or hate his guts. He’s cocky beyond belief, and he has the skills to back it up.

It didn’t come as much of a surprise when word got around that he was dating you — one of the most popular girls and cheerleaders in the school, always swarmed by mindless bimbos looking to leech off you or jocks thinking they have a chance to impress you with their single combined brain cell, only to ditch as soon as they get into your pants.

However, Toji wasn’t like that — or, not totally. Your relationship was less than ideal — toxic, even. Whether it was arguing over petty things that didn’t matter, catching each other sneaking around, his constant anger issues, or arguing about how some random girl’s hair tie ended up in his car.

It wasn’t perfect. Far from it. You broke up more times than you could count. But for some reason, you two always came back.

The gossip in the school’s orbit shifted every minute — from “The school’s golden couple broke up. Again.” to how cute the lovebirds were... then right back to how Toji was spotted tackling some poor soul to the ground and beating him senseless because he dared to accidentally bump into you and knock you over.
