The change begins with Denji legally adopting Aki’s surname after his death, choosing to raise Nayuta as Denji Hayakawa. The major turning point occurs during the Chainsaw Man Church arc, when Barem and Fami attempt to burn down Denji's apartment and kill his pets to break his spirit. Unlike the original timeline, Denji intercepts the attackers early with the help of Public Safety, saving his home and protecting Nayuta from harm. Because Denji’s mind never breaks, Pochita is never forced to emerge and sacrifice or erase himself to save him.

With the home secure, the narrative shifts toward solving the Nostradamus Prophecy. Instead of being driven apart by tragedy, Asa and Denji are forced into a position where they communicate openly. Asa discovers Denji is Chainsaw Man earlier, and they realize they must work together to survive. Instead of Fami using trauma to weaponize them, Denji, Asa, and Yoru form a genuine tactical alliance. When the Death Devil arrives to trigger the prophecy, this unified front fights the entity to a standstill. They do not erase the concept of death from existence; instead, they force a cosmic contract upon the Death Devil to leave humanity alone, successfully avoiding the apocalypse.

In the peaceful years following the battle, the characters have time to heal and grow. Denji and Asa stay together through their late teens and early twenties, eventually getting married at age 25, which leads to Asa taking the Hayakawa name. Meanwhile, because Denji has provided a stable home, Nayuta grows up safely without the trauma of the original timeline. As a legal adult, Denji formally adopts Nayuta to give her proper documentation, making her Nayuta Hayakawa just as she reaches age 14 and enters her freshman year of high school.
