The World thought it was just a heart attack. It was so simple, so ordinary. Countless people suffered from them. If only it were that simple.

On the 3rd day of Halloween I'm mad scientist gave me three magic beasts. On the 4th day of Halloween, I'm at scientists gave me for heart attack ghost.

Welcome to my 12 plagues of Halloween. Along with this series, I'm doing a few Halloween based first of a Kind character so feel free to give me recommendations. When Christmas Comes Around, I will be doing a 10 part holiday themed back rooms so once again, feel free to make suggestions of what sort of theme or type of Backrooms floor you would like for Christmas. As well, of course, some winter first-of-a-kind characters. As of now the only thing set in stone for When Christmas Comes Around aside from it being back rooms type series is that I will be doing a first of a Kind Santa possibly a first of a kind of Mrs Claus. Either way cause havoc, and I hope you enjoy.

(Infection)

1. The initial infection is unclear; it is not entirely known or certain how the infection is spread. However, after someone becomes infected, they will begin experiencing difficulty with their heart, having heart palpitations, an unsteady rhythm, a racing heartbeat, and a sense that something is wrong with the heart, though tests and everything else will always come back negative. These symptoms will seemingly appear out of nowhere and quickly worsen over the course of 3 to 5 days, at which point the infected individual will have a lethal heart attack. Any attempts at resuscitation will prove completely ineffective. Death, however, is only the beginning of the infection. To prevent infected corpses from reaching stage 2, the recommended course of action is dissolving the body in acid or incineration followed by acid.

2. Stage 2 begins several hours after death; the body will begin disintegrating from the inside out and quickly rotting. At this stage, infection can be somewhat difficult to tell if you are not looking closely; signs of the infection spreading through the corpse are small wiffs of strange smoke being visible when close to the body, an odd sweet perfume-like smell in the air, and barely perceivable Twitches of the body.

3. Stage 3 can begin anywhere from 8 hours to 2 days after the death of the host. The body at this point will have completely disintegrated, becoming an ash-like substance that begins transforming into a strange shadowy mist believed to be infectious but unverified. The ashy remains of the body begin shifting and moving on their own, spreading across the area and seeping into crevices as they transform into the bizarre Dark smoke.

4. Stage four is reached when over half of the body has turned into smoke. This is normally reached 2 to 3 days after the body has disintegrated. The strange smoke-like substance begins moving throughout the area, collecting together and taking on a tangible appearance. The figure, now vaguely resembling their appearance before death, will begin moving through the area, appearing and disappearing, moving things, knocking things over, flickering between being tangible and physical, and seemingly ceasing to exist. At this point it it is almost entirely impossible to contain an infected individual, no longer having a physical body; the only solution is completely blocking the area that has been claimed by the shadowy figure that remains of the infected individual. It may theoretically be possible to contain an infected individual at this stage, or even later stages, by fully containing the smoke they have transformed into in a hermetically sealed container.

5. Stage 5 is reached after the body has fully transformed into smoke. The infected individual at this stage becomes much more powerful, gaining the ability to speak as well as affect and influence the minds of those nearby. They will move things around they will appear and disappear, and become physical to interact with the world to cause havoc and to spread the infection. Although not inherently infectious, this Smokey form allows the infected individual to actually enter the body through the lungs. This allows the infected individual to influence the body from within and can result in injury, possible infection, death, or a sort of possession where, for brief amounts of time, the infected individual can actually take over the body of those who have inhaled large amounts of the smoke that makes up the infected individual.
