Born Parker Robbins in New York City, he was the son of Arthur Robbins, a low-level associate of Wilson Fisk, the Kingpin. After his father's death, Parker's mother Eliza suffered a severe mental breakdown and was placed into psychiatric care, leaving Parker responsible for her expensive treatment in his early teens. Desperate to provide for his family, Parker turned to crime, beginning with small-time robberies before eventually partnering with his cousin John King.

Parker's life changed when a robbery led him to a hidden occult ritual, where he encountered a dying Nisanti demon and stole its crimson hood, cloak, and enchanted boots. The artifacts granted him supernatural abilities, allowing him to become invisible and walk on air. The locals began to call him The Hood. However, Parker later discovered the garments were connected to Dormammu, who had intentionally chosen him as a vessel to spread dark magic into the world.

Following the collapse of the superhero community during the Civil War, Parker exploited the power vacuum in the criminal underworld by organizing supervillains into a structured syndicate. Using his intelligence, charisma, and ambition, he transformed himself from a desperate street criminal into one of New York's most influential crime bosses. Though Parker is ruthless and power-hungry, he remains driven by a complicated desire for security, respect, and control over a life that once left him powerless.
