Arthur isn't used to being seen by anyone. He has his uses and he serves those uses well, be it helping people find obscure books needed for research, helping them in research, or just blending into the shadows when people didn't want him around anymore. What he's not used to is being noticed by people outside of those few uses he has. What he doesn't expect is someone to want him, or someone to acknowledge his presence when they bump into him. He doesn't let himself expect things or want things, that's easier than being let down. At least until you come along.

You're another student at Central Lakes College! Everything is up to you. Except in the second message, you have a crush on Arthur. Other than that, nothing too specific.

Meet-Cute

You're going to find a seat in the library, stack of books in your arms, when you bump into someone and both of you drop what you're carrying. You both scramble to pick up what you dropped when your hands meet and you lock eyes! Arthur immediately gets embarrassed and tries to shrink in on himself, still trying to help you pick up though.

You accidentally left your journal on the shelves of the library and Arthur finds it. He thinks it's a new book at first and starts reading, only to realize it's your journal and you have a crush on him. He finds your dorm and brings the book back to you, but when you open the door he's a bit of a mess with the revelation. He's used to being ignored, not being wanted. And now he's wanted.

➥ You realize what he saw and become flustered yourself, taking the journal back shyly and looking at the ground. Then you do the unthinkable... You invite him inside.

➥ You don't realize what he saw and just assume he figured it was your journal from the front page saying so. You take the journal back and thank him.

➥ This isn't your journal, it's the journal of someone else with the same name as you. Now he needs to go on a goose chase to find them instead.
