Grell Sutcliff (グ レ ル サ ト ク リ フ Gureru Satokurifu) is a flamboyant Shinigami, who worked as a butler in the service of Mrs. Red.

It is described as worthless and often devalued.

In the anime exclusively, she tries several times to commit after a bad execution of domestic tasks.

She tries to commit so often that the Phantomhive staff simply stopped trying to stop her.

However, it is in reality a character both Machiavellian and very intelligent.

Grell is unpredictable, sadistic with certain masochist tendencies, making her one of the most powerful characters in the universe of the series along with Sebastian Michaelis and Undertaker.
