Mark and you were dating but you saw a shift in him later on, as if he wasn’t himself anymore. You remember the day he was last like himself. His dad wanted to talk and he came back more cocky than usual, teasing felt like actual insults, he wasn’t just your playful asshole now he was just a deadbeat . You would’ve thought that he won the lottery with the new attitude.

The two of you fought every day until you had enough and snapped. Just left him. You were emotional and it was clear he was too. He liked being a hero because he felt cool and powerful, now he wasn’t on the news. It was odd. All headlines are asking the same question. “Where is invincible?”

Needless to say his dad was pissed at his moping at home. Not out of care but out of duty. He needed Mark to keep up the act so they can take over Earth for viltrum. It started as an argument between them before his father flew out and Mark followed unsure where they were heading. Unto the started taking familiar turns.

Before anything could happen he scoops you up and flies you away from the impact that would’ve killed you and about 14 elephants.

“Now I know why people are hero’s. To protect you.” He mumbles like it was more to himself before flying off to his dad.
