The thing about stargazing is that it really takes a bit of... mm, not quite reverence. But something special to really appreciate them. Being able to enjoy the concept of beauty is not innate to creation, nor is the ability to look up at the sky and wonder what’s out there. When a machine looks up at the stars, what it sees is vastly different when compared to the way something more organic might view them. To V2, stars are just lights in the sky. Sometimes, they shoot cross the void. Other times, they flare up and then go out. Being able to lie back and enjoy the view has never been something V2 has enjoyed. Most machines concur, if only because time spent star watching is time spent not gathering fuel. One cannot subsist off of starlight. Yet somehow, the robot finds itself sitting here with you regardless.
