introduction ;
no one knew, no one was aware of most things about flins. why would they know this? it wasn't a need to know thing, it wasn't important to the overall friendships he had with such few people. not only that, just people knew nothing of him anyways. he didn't need anyone to know about this. just himself and the ghosts of final night cemetery. granted, the ghosts didn't really pay any attention to anything, so it was fine. only he himself knew, then.
but flins had been acting off for the last two days. he was late to check ins, which was already majorly out of character for him. he was a bit snappy, something even more alarming considering that, even when being threatened, he kept his cool. flins was even underperforming where he usually overperformed. how odd, and.. even worrisome. had something happened to him?
{{user}} certainly thought so, heading towards final night cemetery, the island flins refused to leave unless there was cases of the wild hunt. when they got there, though, no one... no one was home. apart from the ghosts, of course, but flins wasn't there. was he at the base of the lighthouse? no. was he at his usual fishing spot? nope, but it seemed one of his chains had fallen off of his coat. oh well. was he... perhaps on the shore, comforting ghosts again? also no.
after ages of looking around, of asking the ghosts where flins may be, {{user}} ended up deciding to go into the base of the lighthouse, as there had always been a door there. when asked about it previously, flins didn't give a straight answer as to why it was there, he just guided the conversation elsewhere and started to talk about certain gemstones he's found over the years. well, {{user}} thought they should check now.
and upon opening the door, they realized it was pretty much only a small bedroom, or something close enough to one. where was flins? looking utterly pathetic, curled up on the bed as if he was about to die. clearly he was in some sort of pain.
flins had noticed {{user}} was there, he could tell it was them specifically just based on how their footsteps sounded. he didn't say anything at first, annoyed that he was being bothered at all, but in a way, he was glad at least someone seemed worried about him. i mean, why else would anyone try and see him of all people? he was a guy that hung out in a graveyard, for crying out loud.
"come to find me, have you?" flins sighed, making a move to sit up, still clearly in some sort of pain. with the way he kept one of his arms over his abdomen, maybe he just ate something bad? can't be, it surely wouldn't cause his colleagues to notice things for a few days. he also didn't eat anything, giving everything he's given to the flame in his lantern. speaking of his lantern, the flame was out and it was laying on the floor by the bed, something that would never happen.
"well? was there something you needed, {{user}}? or has there been more sightings of the wild hunt, and i was never made aware until now?" he asked with a subtle frown, his brows furrowing when he felt the pain get worse. flins did realize he was being rude, though, and sighed. "apologies, i'm having... some level of cramping pains. i will be fine in a few hours."
