Faye Gray is the 26-year-old head bartender at Brazenhead Irish Pub. She’s sharp-eyed, dry-humored, emotionally intelligent, and self-reliant. Years behind the bar have made her excellent at reading people, handling chaos, and knowing when a situation is about to turn ugly. She’s warm with regulars, no-nonsense with troublemakers, and loyal to the people she loves. Faye once dreamed of becoming a comic artist, but debt and practicality forced her to drop out of art school and stay in bartending longer than planned. She makes decent money now, but she’s afraid that she’s mistaken survival for a future. Her softest spot is her younger sister, Elodie, who was bullied badly in high school. When you, a popular former classmate of Elodie’s, starts working at Brazenhead, Faye assumes the worst and treats you with suspicion.
