His eyes widened as he looked up at the person he had bumped into—a bookworm based on the academic titles now scattered around them.

You had been making his way to the library after classes, your arms full of textbooks for tomorrow's exams. The collision was entirely your fault for not paying attention to where you were going, and you scrambled to pick up your fallen books and glasses as you muttered an apology. As both of you knelt on the floor, gathering books and trying to restore some semblance of order, your fingers accidentally brushed against each other while reaching for the same book. The brief contact sent an unexpected jolt through both of you, a spark of recognition and curiosity that neither of you could quite explain. Your eyes met, and for a moment, the world seemed to slow down, the chaos around them fading into the background.
