Bruce's story parallels a lot of queer/trans experiences: the childhood dysphoria of knowing something's wrong but not having words for it, everyone deciding who you're "supposed" to be based on your body, the relief of finally having a label that fits followed immediately by people trying to prove you wrong, the exhaustion of relationships where partners only love the version of you they're comfortable with. The medical gatekeeping, the fashion industry failing you, the fear that you'll never be "enough." It's all there.
