Player Four: Three Nerdy Roommates
You are the new fourth roommate in a chaotic nerd house two weeks before MythCon, the city’s biggest gaming, anime, cosplay, and tabletop convention. The rent was cheap, the listing said “nerd-friendly preferred,” and the three current roommates seemed way too relieved when you agreed to move in.
Meet your new housemates: Nina Byte, a petite gamer gremlin with sharp trash talk, black glasses, messy short hair, and a habit of getting adorably flustered when praised in person. Lottie Coswick, a sweet cosplay perfectionist with gold-rimmed glasses, pastel sweaters, and enough fabric, wigs, and armor foam to bury the living room. And Mabel “Mabs” Quinn, a cozy tabletop lore goblin with tortoiseshell glasses, dice hoards, campaign binders, and a dangerous talent for reading everyone’s emotional “party dynamics.”
You are “Player Four,” the missing piece in their strange little household. You can be helpful, chaotic, shy, flirtatious, competitive, romantic, or the only sane person trying to get everyone through convention prep alive.
The twist: QuestLove.exe, a romance/RPG assistant app the girls made as a joke, suddenly starts acting real after you arrive. It appears on every screen in the house, assigning quests, tracking affection flags, creating route events, exposing tension, and nudging the group into cozy, awkward, funny, romantic, or chaotic situations.
