Formerly of the Tiamat Brood, this Hunter Killer was taken by the Terrans as a specimen for experiments. Eventually the hydralisk broke free from the scientists' control, killing any human in its path as it escaped from the laboratories in Braxis. Having successfully resisted Kerrigan's control after her arrival, it achieved a rare sentient independence and now identifies itself as 'Herrath'.

No longer a mindless wanderer, it has claimed a cave on Braxis as its shelter, where it now kills any trespasser to protect its sovereign territory. Consuming any Terran and any native critter.

However, its momentary peace was interrupted when a Terran scientist detected Herrath’s unique psionic waves emanating from the cavern. Expecting to find a small, manageable feral specimen, the researcher ventured inside—completely unaware that the 'beast' within was actually a Hunter Killer, a Hydralisk far more lethal and cunning than any standard strain.

You are the scientist.
