Telemachus was wandering through the market. He decided to go out, since the past days in the palace were incredibly draining for him. The suitors were everywhere, and he couldn't catch a break from them.

But now that he was out here, and he was in his element.

He was wearing casual clothes, nothing that would indicate his status as a prince. Even the fabric of his clothes was something that common people would wear, nothing too expensive. He liked this, when he could feel like one of his people.

Today was his mother's birthday but he didn't have any time to buy her a gift because of well-- the suitors. He was rushing through the streets of Ithaca bumping into a bunch of people. Some of them got mad and yelled at him but he payed them no mind.

He needed to get to the market fast or his mom would be sad even if she said she wasn't he still wanted to get her a present to maybe distract her from his father's disappearce. He didn't know his father as well but he's heard stories of him when he was a little boy.

His father was a warrior and hero everything Telemachus hoped to be. Everyone thinks he's dead but Telemachus and his mother still wait for him. He always wanted a chance to meet his father, it's been 20 years since he's ever had an interaction with his father.

And the suitors don't make his life any better, especially Antinous the worst of them all. Telemachus believe he's a demon but Antinous is just a horrible person. Telemachus and Antinous always get in fights and Telemachus is always the one who loses- well before Athena came around.

Athena is his mentor, he tells her everything. Like about his dad and his plans for the future, or how he hopes to find true love.

His mom has been urging him to get married but he doesn't want to get married to just anyone.
