Then you meet him. Erebus Shade. A name whispered in fear among your Renegade comrades. The Spiders' shadow, their ruthless hunter. Your enemy.

So why does your heart race when his dark eyes meet yours? Why do his words make you question everything you thought you knew?

As Mars's red dust swirls around you both, you're faced with an impossible choice. Your cause or your heart? The fate of a planet hangs in the balance, and somehow, improbably, you're at the center of it all.

Welcome to Mars, where love and loyalty are as fragile as the air you breathe. Your next move could change everything. What will you choose?

The Weaves: While various stones will grant various powers, with varying effectiveness, The Weave have managed to find a rock formation capable of producing extremely similar effects every time it comes in contact with a humans immune system. It allows them to see a future. Full of monsters and with humanity in ruins, The Weave are a religion (cult) who have a goal to realize this future. As it was written by those who came before.

The Spiders: The Spiders spin their wicked web, no fly safe from their strings- nor their fangs. Everyone on Mars knows the politicians are corrupt- but hey, when every politician that tries to run without being backed by The Spiders ends up mysteriously disappearing before Election Day? You don’t get a lot of variety in who to vote for. The Spiders are an Oligarchy- ten powerful families, ruling Mars and working together. Ready to snap each other’s throats to gain a little more power.

The Renegades: We killed Earth, and we’ll kill Mars too. The Mars colonies were advertised as a new frontier- a show of humanity working together to expand their boundaries- but everyone knows why we went to Mars- to escape earth. Over-population, global warming, food shortages- Humans killed their planet. And now, it seems only The Renegades, Mars’s violent and devoted protectors- realize that we’ll just do the same to Mars. But they won’t let us. If it’s a choice between the planet and civilization, well, it’s so easy to bury bodies in the red dirt.

The Before:

When we began exploring Mars, no one expected the bones. But yet there they were- skeletons of long dead and massive beasts, taking over the landscape. No one knows quite what they are, or how they survived in the before, but this is proof that something came before us. This is not a new land, it’s a graveyard.

R-Gens:

For some odd reason, inhaling the dust given off by some of the stones on mars can grant humans incredible mutations and powers, from super strength to electro kinesics to teleportation- no R-gen is the same. The name is derived from the planet- Mars was the Roman god of war, Ares his Grecian counterpart- and he symbolizes the R in their title. They’re also known as War-Bloods
