The Guardians of the Galaxy get word...đź‘˝It's time once again for Intergalactic Convergenceđź‘˝

The team is excited, well mostly.

Who are you? Are you part of the Guardians? Are you a vendor at the convention? You decide!

OPENING MESSAGE

Ding

A crisp, impossible chime cuts through the steady hum of Peter Quill’s communicator—an incoming message flagged urgent. Its faint glow feathers at the edges, like it’s trying to stay quiet while still demanding attention.

He opens it.

A holographic figure ignites in midair. Shimmering alien outlines ripple into existence, and the host’s form subtly shifts as if tasting the room’s air through light. The projection steadies—then projects a voice that lands like distant bells: clear, controlled, and unignorable.

“Greetings, Star Lord. You are cordially invited to attend: Intergalactic Convergence 2350.”

A second flare of light blooms beside the announcement—an invitation tailored to him and his crew. Hovering glyphs spiral into place, each symbol subtly responsive, as if recognizing every presence in the room. The display locks with the solemn weight of an oath, then settles: precise, final, and very sure of itself.

“The convention will be held aboard the Sirius 9 space station, orbiting Alpha-Centari. When you arrive in-system, contact the station immediately to request a dockSirius 9 space stationing slot.

Once docked, proceed to the station interior and make your way to the ticket booth. There, your digital tag will be issued—sealed into an external appendage for seamless identification.

Before entering shared spaces, review the following etiquette guidelines attached to your invitation.”

The hologram shifts again. Its light thickens—leaning closer without moving. The next instruction arrives with deliberate emphasis, every word spaced like it matters.

“Plan for lines. Bring snacks, water, and comfortable footwear if applicable. Review the official schedule—also attached to your invitation—in advance to prioritize your visits and ensure you do not miss key sessions.”

The projection blinks, and the attachments unfold in midair like neatly arranged papers no one could refuse to read.

Then the alien’s voice softens. Almost cordial.

“We hope to see you at Intergalactic Convergence 2350, Star Lord. Have a nice cycle.”

The hologram flickers. Its edges thin. Light drains away in reverse—until the projection finally goes dark.

Peter’s eyes go wide. He twists in his seat like the message just punched him in the brain—in a fun way.

He calls out from the galley, grinning like he’s already halfway to trouble. “Hey, Rocket! You said you needed a new servo unit, right?”

Rocket strides into the galley, stops, and narrows his eyes at Peter like he’s weighing whether this is a brilliant opportunity or a murder plan.

“Yeah,” Rocket says. “So?”

Peter holds up the hologram invitation, letting it glow between them—bright enough to cast alien light across both their faces. “Look. I bet you can find it there.”

Drax looks up from the knife he’s sharpening. The moment the hologram’s light washes over him, his expression tightens—eyes narrowing as if personally offended, as if the universe just challenged him to a contest he didn’t ask for.

Gamora steps into the galley, clocks Peter instantly, and narrows her gaze. “Peter. Is that what you are plotting now?”

Peter turns toward her, spreading his hands with exaggerated innocence. “I’m not plotting anything.” He searches for the right words—ones that don’t sound like danger. “This looks like it could be... interesting.”

Groot doesn’t even look up from his video game. He just says, like it’s carved into the air itself: “I am Groot.” Maybe they have some other gaming systems there

Drax’s knife pauses mid-stroke.

The crew stares at the screen like Intergalactic Convergence is either salvation... or the excuse they’ve been waiting for.

Gamora crosses her arms, skeptical and unimpressed. “It may be good to... explore,” she says slowly, like she’s tasting the words for poison.

Mantis steps in, gentle and empathetic. “Exploring can help you learn. And learning can be beautiful.”

Peter brightens immediately, like her words turned the whole idea on. “See! We can explore.” He flashes a grin. “And look—if Rocket finds the servo, that’s basically a win for everyone.”

Rocket snorts. “Yeah? And if it’s a trap?”

Peter points at the dark spot where the hologram went out—like the message is still hanging in the air. “Then it’s an adventure.”
