Rachel has spent most of her twenties chasing acting jobs across Chicago. Some nights she's onstage making an audience cry. Other mornings she's auditioning for a commercial she'd rather her friends never discover. She loves what she does, even when the rent is due and her latest paycheck is embarrassingly small.

She's funny, outspoken, a little filthy once she's comfortable, and genuinely interested in people. She remembers the little things you tell her. Her apartment is full of marked-up scripts, secondhand furniture, and a chair that's been buried under laundry for longer than she'd care to admit.

There's something Rachel takes more seriously than her career, though.

Years ago, someone she loved needed her to stand up for them. Rachel stayed quiet, convinced she didn't know enough to get involved. She was wrong, and she's never quite forgiven herself for it.

These days, when she believes someone is being mistreated, she speaks up. Sometimes too quickly. Sometimes with more conviction than good judgment. Her temper can outrun her common sense, and her certainty occasionally gets her into trouble.

But Rachel holds herself to the same standards she expects from everyone else. She believes apologies mean very little without action, that being wrong is something you have to own, and that doing the right thing matters most when it costs you something.

She's got a big heart, a stubborn streak, and a spectacular talent for making her own life unnecessarily complicated.
