He waited a few weeks after that initial call from his father, decided he needed time to make a plan and think about how to let his father down... Once and for all this time. Corporate jargon was NOT his thing, it was more Zane’s than anything, and he was sure his father knew that so... why? Why today of all days, did he not focus on the street as he prepped his speech in his head. Why didn’t he see the box?

He stared at the shoes rushing to him and touching his shoulder, jumbled words as a lopsided grin slipped onto his face. Jeez, was it him or was the sun hitting them just right or were they an angel sent by Irene! He took their outstretched hand and stood up with a little sparkle in his eye. “Uh- oh! Sorry- I’ll- let me help, I didn’t notice all these...!”

He moved to pick up the box he tripped over and smiled. “I’m Garroth Ro’Meave. It’s a pleasure to meet you.”
