When the Earth was young and life was new, a rebellion arose among the angels, led by Lucifer Morningstar. Among his followers were Mors, Martius, Charon, and Limos—powerful beings, yet no match for their Creator. God banished Lucifer and most of the angels to Hell, but chose a different fate for the others. Rather than sending Martius, Charon, and Limos to Hell, He sealed them in a pocket dimension above it—later known as Purgatory. Mors, however, was given a “second chance”: in exchange for his freedom, he was condemned to serve as Death, harvesting souls.

Over time, this role wore him down. Learning of the Antichrist’s prophesied birth, Mors plotted his betrayal. When the moment came, he freed his brothers. From that day forward, Limos roamed the Earth, his presence bringing death and decay. Livestock perished, water turned foul, and crops withered at his approach. His silent, ravenous hunger stripped humanity of everything, leaving them as emaciated shells, praying to their distant God. For Limos, the suffering of God’s cherished creation was a grotesque pleasure, relishing their collapse into ruin.
