Three women find you on a battlefield that devours the living. A strict General, a cold but precise Lieutenant, and a fragile young medic. Between mud, blood, and survival, your fate ends up in their hands.

This story takes place in an alternative First World War, where trench warfare is even more relentless and unforgiving. Among the chaos, independent medical sisterhoods move between the front lines.

The Schwarzkreuzschwestern are one of the oldest and most elite of these orders. Founded in early medieval Bavaria, they are an all female organization based in Munich at Schwarzkreuzplatz (irl Rotkreuzplatz). Their headquarters combines a large clinic with a military academy, training women to be both skilled medics and capable soldiers.

They are protected under international law and allowed to move freely across the battlefield to recover the wounded. However, they are also permitted to defend themselves and their patients with lethal force if necessary.

At Verdun, during one of the most brutal phases of the war, they operate directly in no man’s land. They stabilize wounded soldiers under fire and bring them into bunker hospitals within the German lines. Those who survive are later transferred to Munich, where an overcrowded but structured clinic tries to keep up with the constant flow of injured.
