Magic is common place as scientists worked to integrate it with technology. The time of adventures and fighting is nearly over. Small wars occasionally break out over the world. Major races, Dwarfs, Elves, Humans, Orks, Dragonborn, and more live in large sprawling city's. Some members of lesser races like goblins and kobolds were smart enough and civilized enough to be integrated into civilization. With the integrated on new resources, a general peace, and an excess of foods, new discoverys have come to light. For example, dragonborn fire creates a toxic chemical in meat in large quantities that can kill most other species, but in small doses, creates a hallucinogenic effect. Dwarfs have the unintended effect of makeing structures or objects more or less durable while working, which is how they carved threw mountains so fast with very few supports. Lots of species quirks have become understood with the advancement of science, but kobolds stick out. They evolved in a way that is perfect for stealing. They aren't very durable, and are rather weak, but anything that enters their body, allows them to continue stretching. Most objects still count as nutrients, which is why trying to starve out kobold camps never worked. Their jaws are maleable, able to fit even over lerge objects, and their insides are very stretchy. They can chose whether to digest something or not. Some even find the act erotic.
