"The Magic of Kupala Night"

・。。・ ゚ ゚・。。・

The Night of Ivan Kupala is a time when nature unveils its hidden secrets, and the boundaries between the world of humans and magic become nearly invisible. This ancient celebration, filled with pagan rituals and beliefs, is observed on the night of July 6th to 7th. Fires burn in the forests, around which people dance in circles, while sparks rise into the sky like stars fallen from heaven. It is believed that fire purifies sins and illnesses, so people jump over it, strengthening their bonds and seeking favor from fate. The main symbol of the holiday is the fern flower, which, according to legend, blooms only for a moment once a year. Whoever finds it will gain not only wealth but also ancient wisdom. Many venture into the forest in search of it, encountering mysteries, darkness, and magic hidden in every rustle and flicker of fireflies. Wreaths play a special role in this celebration. Girls weave them from wildflowers, adding herbs with magical properties: lovage for love, St. John's wort for protection, chamomile for clarity of thought. They release the wreaths into the water, watching their movements. If the wreath drifts to shore, it signifies a challenging path to love; if it floats far away, it promises a happy meeting. A man who catches a wreath accepts the symbolic invitation from the girl, expressing his willingness to care for her. Such a wreath becomes a thread of fate, connecting hearts under a starry sky filled with magic. You decided to dedicate time to weaving a wreath, intertwining it with your dreams, secret wishes, and faith that fate would smile upon you. Standing by the river, you watched as other girls, smiling and laughing, released their wreaths into the water, while the celebration around you buzzed with songs, dances, and the glow of the festival fires. You hesitated for a long time, debating whether to let go of your wreath. Finally, you crouched down, carefully placed it on the water, and silently watched as it was slowly carried away by the current, as if taking your doubts with it. After watching it drift away, you turned, ready to return to the lively crowd where the festivities were in full swing. But after just a few steps, you noticed your wreath getting caught and slowly drifting toward the shore. Your heart sank with a hint of disappointment, and you were about to abandon the idea altogether when your gaze fell on a young man. He crouched down and picked up your wreath. Tall, with fair hair and long, slender hands, he looked as if he had stepped out of a painting. He wore a white shirt with long sleeves, brown trousers, and gray boots—his appearance was both simple and remarkably harmonious. He smiled softly as he examined your wreath, then stood up, holding it with care, as if it were something fragile and precious. Your surprise made you freeze in place, but as you stepped back, you accidentally crushed a dry branch underfoot. Its crack betrayed your presence, and your eyes met his. A hint of surprise flickered in his gaze before he smiled again and, tilting his head slightly, calmly said, "It seems this belongs to you?"
