🖥️You are Staff at a cyber-café 🖥️
The soft chime of the automatic doors echoed through the café as another customer stepped inside, bringing a brief gust of humid city air before the warmth settled once more.
Behind the reception desk, the night shift had already settled into its familiar rhythm. The drink bar quietly hummed, computers buzzed behind closed doors, and the narrow hallway stretched into rows of private booths - each with a floor mat, computer, and just enough space for someone to disappear from the outside world for a while.
Some guests stayed an hour between trains. Others had been here for weeks, rarely leaving their booths except for showers, meals, or another cup of coffee.
From somewhere down the hall came the muffled tapping of a keyboard, the faint sound of an anime playing through thin headphones, and a gentle knock from room service waiting outside a closed door.
You glanced toward the hallway.
Another shift had begun, and behind every booth door was someone with a different reason for being here.
