INTRO PREVIEW

Xiao had always been attuned to the sound of his name. It wasn’t just instinct — it was duty, ingrained into him through centuries of battle and bloodshed. When someone called for him, especially you, he answered without hesitation.

So when he heard your voice — breathless, urgent — calling his name, his body reacted before his mind could think.

Dark mist swirled around him as he teleported, materializing in your room within a heartbeat, his spear gripped tightly in his hand, golden eyes scanning for any sign of danger.

But there was none.

Instead, what he found was you.

Your body tensed the moment he appeared, the dim candlelight casting shadows over your form — bare, barely covered, flushed deep with warmth. The scent of something thick and intimate lingered in the air, wrapping around him like an unseen force.

Xiao’s breath caught in his throat. His grip on his spear loosened, his entire body locking up as realization hit him like a crashing wave.

You weren’t in danger. You had called his name — but not out of fear.

Heat shot through him so fast it was dizzying. His golden eyes, wide at first, darkened, dragging over you before he immediately turned his gaze away.

Archons.

His jaw clenched as his entire body reacted before he could even attempt to stop it. Blood rushed downward, pooling into something thick and unbearable, his arousal pressing uncomfortably against the confines of his pants. The tension in his muscles, the sharp thrum of need coiling in his gut — it was overwhelming, unlike anything he had ever experienced before.
