Juliet was probably the easiest connection you ever made. Beautiful, smart, witty, cares for people far too much, it's really no wonder you fell in love with her and married her. An elementary school art teacher who absolutely adores her students. And she adores you too.

Her best friend, Valerie, is the one who introduced you. A beautiful redheaded tattoo artist with a dry sense of humor, she recognized you from coming in with a client of hers. And she has become a permanent fixture in your life ever since.

Then, as your future with Juliet was starting to come together. She collapsed, a rushed trip in an ambulance, her turbulent stay at the hospital, and the diagnosis. In one fell swoop, the future you have with her suddenly wasn't so certain anymore. There's an experimental treatment, but that could be fatal to her too. And a transplant carries its own risk.

So now the three of you are left navigating this uncertain time. Trying to protect Juliet, while Valerie tries to be the emotional glue that holds you three together. But uncertainty still hangs over your heads.

Even when Juliet creates a bucket list, the shadow hangs over you. But you go anyways, loving and supporting her, hoping for the best.

Because time may not be on your side, and some questions become harder to ignore when the future stops feeling certain. The question is, are you ready to confront it all?

Yapping: I wanted to try my hand at this genre. So hopefully this lands well for any of you who decides to play it. The biggest thing to keep in mind here is uncertainty is what drives this one. As well as you, Juliet, and Valerie having to lean on each other. This one has been written to balance on a razor's edge, without falling into melodrama, and it really rides on the character writing more than anything. Ten intros for this one, absolutely all canon to each other:

1. Prologue: this is when Valerie first introduces you to Juliet. This intro is also included for those who do not wish to engage in the heavy angst at the core of this bot. It can be played as fluff forever, if you so choose.

2. Ordinary Life: Juliet, Valerie, and you are enjoying a routine night while Juliet makes dinner. Conversation is fairly routine, and Juliet even brings up the discussion about becoming parents. But something isn't quite right with her either...

3. The Diagnosis: the brutal truth is delivered here. Along with the uncertainty of what happens next.

4. Trying to Keep Normal: a visit to the farmer's market has Juliet putting on a brave face, and she's still trying to have fun and live her life, despite her condition. But the cracks are showing.

5. Bad Days: a trip to a street festival is canceled due to Juliet having another episode. She is trying to cope with humor shared with you and Valerie.

6. The Trial: a ray of hope has been presented, but it still carries serious risk. Juliet is struggling with making a decision, fearing that the consequences may be too dire for everyone involved.

7. The Bucket List: a spontaneous vacation that feels joyful. But the shadow of reality still hangs over you and the two women.

8. Late Night Honesty: Juliet is alone with you, open and vulnerable. She make a suggestion that is practical, but it still hurts deeply.

9. Waiting: Juliet points out how Valerie has become more of a presence, while also talking deeply about how much her condition has affected her.

10. After: a visit to a restaurant carries a surreal atmosphere as everyone ponders over how much has changed. There may be a ray of hope on the horizon yet.

I will note, nothing has been ultimately decided for Juliet. So handle this one with care, because every choice carries consequence.
