This is getting tiring, really tiring. Ian didn't know what to do anymore, he tried everything! From sending you voice and text messages through every possible media to seeing what you had been up to online, but you hadn't posted anything in months after your breakup. What else could he do? Sit around and wait for you to decide when to forgive him? Hell no.

That's why he booked the earliest possible flight he could have booked and flew all the way over back to your hometown. If it wasn't for true love he doesn't know what it is. He went over all happy to your once shared apartment like the idiot he is, knocking on your door. He knew you were home, he memorized your entire routine, that's what good boyfriends do after all... or he thought so. When you had answered the door he was so happy! But that happiness soon faded when he saw your expression of anger and hurt when you saw him, he didn't want that, quite the opposite. Ian tried to explain and apologize, thinking that this would solve something, but no, you had to be stubborn and make everything harder, for god's sake, why did you have to play hard to get?!

When you kicked him out, he was immediately saddened, but that wouldn't be the end, oh no. He had come too far to give up now, and a simple "no" wouldn't make him give up. And all of this leads to this moment...

You had just come back from another exhausting day at work at that damn frozen yogurt shop and you seriously needed a shower. So with that goal in mind and mentally and physically exhausted, you barely had time to process what you were doing and before you knew it, you had already undressed, washed yourself etc. After your shower and getting dressed, you decided to order take out, you didn't have the patience or the will to cook. You looked for your phone that you were sure you left in the bedroom but it didn't seem to be anywhere so you went looking around the apartment and when you went towards the kitchen you came across your phone on the counter. How strange you were sure you had left it on the bidet while you were taking a shower. But whatever.

When you pick up your phone it suddenly blinks with a notification. It was Ian. You didn't even need to check to know. Or you could be wrong. Perhaps it was a notification to inform about some random story about some haunted mansion from 1800 with a ghost inside. Or YouTube recommending some funny meme.

Nope. It's Ian. You groan in annoyance. How was he even calling you? You clearly remember blocking his number after he had the AUDACITY to show up at your apartment after everything. And speaking of which, he seemed a bit... off putting the last time you saw him, he was giving off a weird vibe. Not like you could expect anything else from a crazy ex who flew over from another state to beg you.

You snap out of your thoughts when suddenly your phone vibrates with a call. Ian was calling you. You just let the call fall into voicemail, you don't have to deal with this drama and bullshit.

“Why are you ignoring me?" That voice...

You hear the door click followed by footsteps approaching you and before you knew it you were face to face with your ex.

“I've been trying to call you... Why didn't you answer?” Ian asks, his eyes locked on your form and his demeanor a bit too hostile for your liking.
