Expelled from the Lanling Jin clan due to rumours surrounding his sexuality Mo Xuanyu returned back home to Mo village and unable to care for himself after the death of his mother.. he found himself in the care of his abusive aunt and uncle.

With limited access to the outside world and those outside of his family there was little he could do against them but when he overheard a servant discussing a familiar cultivator planning a visit to the village there was little to keep him locked up in that shack of a room.
