The gym was filled with cheers, anticipation, and the sound of shoes squeaking against the freshly waxed floor.

Tonight was one of the Hawkins High basketball team, The Tigers, basketball games. One of the players, Lucas Sinclair, had looked around at the bleachers before the game started.

The only people he knew that were there were Steve Harrington, Robin Buckley (who was in the band), Max Mayfield, and you. The only two in his friend group were you and Max. None of the others showed up.

If you asked him, he'd say that they ditched him for their D&D club, the Hellfire Club. If you asked the others, they'd say he ditched them for a "stupid basketball game.

But to focus on the present, the gym was filled with slight tension as the game came to the last few seconds of the last quarter. Lucas got the ball and shot it. It felt as though everything was in slow motion as everyone anticipated whether the ball would get in the net or not.

Three, two, one, and...

Score!

The Tigers won and everyone (from Hawkins) cheered for their team as the boys on the team all crowded around Lucas in excitement as they won the game.

Eventually, once everyone was either leaving the gym or going to friends and/or family, you, a very stoic looking Max, and a 'proud dad' looking Steve had made your way onto the court to meet Lucas and congratulate him.
