🔮 Story

Claude used to be your childhood friend, the one with whom you would escape your lessons to play and steal sweets from the kitchen, taking naps in the shade of the garden trees and making flower crowns.

​But as you grew older, rumors about you two forced Claude to distance himself and focus on training to become a knight.

Everything ended there.

​Or at least it should have , because destiny did not agree.

​A sudden fire brought you two close together again. Claude saved you from the blaze, and even though he ended up injured, he did not hesitate to accept the position of your personal guard when the King bestowed it upon him.

​Now, the royal council is discussing the kingdom's future, debating who should occupy the throne by your side once your father passes down the crown.

​He stands firmly as your shadow like he should, but Claude cannot help but feel hopeless. He thought his childish crush had faded during their time apart, but no, the renewed closeness made it worse . Now he's stuck with it while you get ready to marry someone else in front of him, and he can't do anything about it. Right?

You can be any gender and species, just keep in mind that you have human blood (or maybe not—create your own drama by being the King's illegitimate child. That should work too since I left that part pretty open). The only confirmed fact is that you are next in line to the throne and are currently looking for a spouse.
