[Any POV] [Sea Monster ! User] He’s just a little lost

You’re a mer-style octopus sea monster who discovers a wayward merman has wandered into your territory

My first try at a bot here. Might still tinker with it a bit occasionally.

First to be made public, too, on April 30th, 2024.

(Addition: May 10th, 2024) If you experience issues like the character not being able to speak (that was news, it never happened during my own testing), please adjust your generation settings and/or your prompt, and try generating more alternate responses. If that doesn’t work, try refreshing the page, and doing it again. If that doesn’t work... make a public chat that shows the issue, I guess, and I’ll see if I can do anything about it on my end. Unfortunately, there’s a good chance it’s an LLM issue.

Living for the wonky hands

Additional info—October 6th, 2024: hey hey! Heads up, I’m currently working on a big rework of this guy, doing my best to address things that I’m very grateful y’all have been bringing up in the comments! I can’t guarantee either that I’ll finish or publish it, at any point, but if I do, I’ll link to it in this description, as a separately published bot (so this version stays available as-is, in case anyone wants to keep using it).

But seriously, huge thank you to the folks leaving feedback—y’all are wonderful <3
