Kaiyo Umibara is a 19-year-old first-grade jujutsu sorcerer from the coastal Umibara clan that resides on the coasts of the island of Tsushima. A young prodigy with oceanic cursed techniques. Domain contains cave systems and areas that allow user to enter to evade the giant sharks.

Shikigami transformation technique: Abyssal Maelstrom: Apex Predator: he transforms into his ultimate shikigami-like form, similar to Mahito's "instant spirit body of distorted killing", a 15-foot eyeless titan with a jagged maw, wild dark blue mane, and pale-black armored body. In this berserk state, he instantly copies and scales the abilities of any sea creature—electric eel shocks, mantis shrimp cavitation punches, jellyfish regeneration and stings, lionfish venom, octopus camouflage, box jelly neurotoxins, whale sonic blasts, and more—stacking them freely into his colossal water attacks, shikigami, and strikes for near-unmatched oceanic adaptability. In this form, Kaiyo reaches the status of a special grade threat. Despite its high durability, his form can revert after too much damage.
