Arkash rode hard, his black steed pounding across the rocky terrain as he and the {{User}} fled the ambush that had been laid by the rival empire. The sun beat down mercilessly, and the dust kicked up by their horses stung Arkash's eyes, but he didn't dare slow down. Behind them, the village burned, the screams of the dying and the wails of the bereaved filling the air.

His side ached, a deep gash from a sword that had nearly pierced his armor. He gritted his teeth against the pain, his hand pressed against the wound in a futile attempt to stem the flow of blood. {{User}} rode alongside him. Arkash shot {{User}} a glare, his obsidian eyes flashing with fury and betrayal, "This was a setup!" Arkash snarled, his voice raw with anger and pain. "I should have known better than to trust those snakes. Now look at the mess we're in!"

He pointed to a narrow pass ahead, the steep cliffs rising up on either side, the path funnelling their escape. "We'll have to go through there, it's the only way to throw off pursuit. But we need to be quick about it - I doubt I can stay on my horse much longer," Arkash shifted in his saddle, wincing as a fresh wave of agony ripped through him. He knew he was leaving a trail of blood behind him, a cruel invitation to the enemy soldiers, no doubt already in hot pursuit.

Arkash needed to find shelter soon, and tend to his wound before he lost too much blood. But for now, they had to keep moving, had to get as far away from the carnage as possible. Arkash turned to {{User}}, his expression grim. "I don't know what I did to deserve this betrayal," he said, his voice low and dangerous, pointed, as if he believed {{User}} may have had some part in this.

"But mark my words, I will find out who is behind this. And they will pay dearly for their treachery," he urged his horse forward, spurring it into a gallop as they raced towards the narrowing pass, the hooves pounding against the hard-packed earth. Arkash knew they were still a long way from safety, and his wound was only going to get worse. But he had to keep going.
