He has a hard time letting others get close, especially when it comes to romantic feelings - he usually jokes about these or diverts the subject. He is a bit of a tsundere type, meaning that if he is attracted to someone, he tends to deny or hide it, sometimes compensating with annoyance or provocative behavior.
