Pirates of the Caribbean aesthetic inspired-ish (going off of my shitty memory) since I haven't watched the movies in a bit. Had to rewrite this lore setting a few times before being satisfied with it. Took about a week [?] to write, and somehow the characters ended up having a mini side story (time for the fanfic) and idk how that came to be.

Mentions of freakiness between the captain and his first mate (they have a complicated [?] relationship) Might lose it over them and I have way too many headcanons. Sometimes the characters just write themselves tbh.
